Ahmedabad to host Asian Heritage Conference

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC)’s ambitious Bhadra fort project has been approved by JnNURM authority for grant. The process of signing an MOU with the Archaeological Survey of India is on according to Municipal Commissioner Shri IP Gautam.
The AMC will host an international conference ‘Asian World Heritage Cities – Indian Cities Looking Towards World Heritage’ during 18-20 April.
Representatives of various Asian countries such as Malaysia, Shrilanka, Japan, Laos, Nepal, Vietnam and Thailand will participate in this conference. Archaeological Survey of India’s Director General will also grace the occasion.The AMC will hand over documents for declaration of Ahmedabad as World Heritage City to Director General during the event.
