Rain,strong winds kill one in Mahesana,Girnar Parikrama stopped

Gujarat’s Forest department has stopped Girnar’s famous Lili Parikrama in view of 1 to 1.5 inch unseasonal rain. According to Forest department, the entry of new pilgrims has been prevented in view of damaged path in parts of Parikrama route. Those who are stuck in middle of the route, are asked to come back. Forest officials said, Parikrama will resume in some hours as rain stopped in the afternoon itself.
Meanwhile, two persons were killed in north Gujarat’s Mahesana today due to collapse of hoarding. A hoarding collapsed due to strong cyclone like winds and heavy rain.One person died in Mahesana due to uprooting of tree.
Heavy rain was also experienced in Surendranagar, Rajkot, Mundra belt(Kutch), Jamnagar, Khambhalia, parts of Ahmdabad district(mainly Mandal belt) today. In Ahmedabad, strong wind was witnessed at around 6.00 pm, with heavy cloud cover throughout the day.
