Illegally constructed building collapsed in Ahmedabad

A three-floor building under construction(‘almost constructed’ title suits as well) collapsed today morning in Ahmedabad. While four persons are dead, 20 are injured in this incident.
The incident happened in wall city’s Muslim dominated Kalupur area’s Sodagar ni pol.
According to locals the incident took place in the morning at around 8.00 am.
Fire brigade staff reached the place and started rescue operation soon after they received a call.
Meanwhile about four buildings connected with the collapsed building are also affected and the people are asked to get vacated.
According to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation officials the building was illegally constructed and complaint will be lodged against the persons responsible.
Those injured were taken to city’s V.S.hospital. Fire brigade is conducting the operation through Revdi bazar Azad chowk opening.
Meanwhile the Deputy Municipal Corporation has ordered suspension of two officials of estate department in connection with this incident.
An offense of Culpable homicide has been filed against local builders well known as ‘Bata brothers’.
