Surat Municipal Corporation’s ‘Surotsav – 2011’ is super hit.

After Birju Maharaj and group’s amazing Kathak dance gripped the audience till late in the night on Sunday, the next evening witnessed amazing performance of Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia on flute, and Ustad Zakir Hussain on tabla.

Athwa gate based Nehru garden was crowded by audience. Some people who couldn’t get seat, enjoyed the event standing on foot for hours. SMC is expected to find grander place to host this event next year to accommodate more people.

Parking of vehicles was completely occupied from Traffic office to Circuit house. There was a long queue at the entrance of the garden, to get entry into the programme.
