Gujarat govt increases power supply to farmers

The government of Gujarat today took a decision to increase the power supply by two additional hours daily.
Presently the government run power company provides power to agricultural sector for daily 8 hours. However now onwards the power would be supplied for ten hours to farms in view of the delayed rain situation.
Gujarat government spokesperson and minister of state for Power Shri Saurabhbhai Patel announced this adding that the government would continue to provide three phase power for ten hours to agriculture sector to save the crops till the situation of rainfall deficit becomes normal.
