Presented above is a video of plinth+four floor building that collapsed today in Surat’s Mahidharpura area. None was hurt in this incident as people living in the building had apprehended such tragedy well in advance. The incident happened after deep excavation in neighboring plot, affected the foundations of victim building adversely.
-The building was known as Devkrupa Chambers.
-It collapsed on Tuesday afternoon.
-The building housed five diamond-polishing units, therefore the people gathered at the debris started searching for diamonds. Police has been deployed to secure the rubble therefore.
-One Kanaiya Mavani had a unit on the second floor of the building with diamonds worth nearly Rs 1 crore in the locker and costly important machines and equipments.
-Another Ramesh Prajapati claimed that there were diamonds worth Rs 50 lakh in his office on the first floor.
