For the first time the state of Gujarat has tried this kind of adventure tourism. As many as 16 paragliders from China, Russia, France and India are participating in this activity.

A single paragliding experience is offered for Rs 1500 while parasailing costs Rs 300. Gujarat Tourism will be organizing an international paragliding competition in Saputara in the months of April and May next year according to Managing Director of Gujarat Tourism Shri Sanjay Kaul.

This Glideventure Paragliding Tandem Festival was inaugurated on 25th at 10:00 am by the Chief Guest Corporation Tourism Minister and Shri Ranjitbhai Gilitwala. The festival will remain open till 31st December 2011.
