Noor Mohammad Samad, a 22-year-old tempo driver from Udhna area of Surat was arrested yesterday evening by Surat police with crude bombs(sutli bomb) in his pocket at the venue of Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Limbayat police station area.
Police was not ready to say anything on this issue, however the arrest episode came in to limelight when police brought Noor Mohammad Samad to local court today afternoon seeking his remand.
According to sources, the court has given one-day remand(which shows the incident is not very serious. If this was actually a very serious incident, the court could give longer remand).
As per the sources, an aatashbaji event was planned at the Rajasthani community function in which Chief Minister Narendra Modi was invited.
Noor Mohammad had picked up some bombs from outside the venue.Same bombs according to sources were to be used as crackers.
When Noor entered into the rally ground with bombs in his pocket, and was caught, the police first detained him and later showed official arrest. Police will go into the details of this incident and will come to conclusion whether Noor Mohammad was in rally with some destructive intentions, or was innocent cracker-enthusiast person who just picked up some bombs from outside the venue and kept them in his pocket to bring them home.
