The Gujarat High Court has started an online bail application system and allotted username and password to respective jails.

In the new system, when prisoner applies for bail before the jail authority, the jail office sends an online application to the High Court through email with related documents attached. This has made the task easier and faster.

In past the jail office had to send the applications through post which was time-consuming and inefficient practice.
