Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani raises Ahmedabad Airport related issues in Civil Aviation ministry’s consultative committee

Rajya sabha member Parimal Nathwani, who is also a member in the Consultative Committee attached to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, raised issues related to Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport before the Committee.
Shri Nathwani drew attention of the union civil aviation minister to the plights of transit passengers at the domestic terminal.
The transit passengers are made to run around for rest room’s accommodation etc at domestic terminal, he said.
Shri Nathwani also said that the airport lacks the facilities for flight indicators depicting arrival or departure of flights.
He raised these issues during the meeting of Consultative Committee held at Bangalore yesterday which was chaired by the union civil aviation minister Mr. Ajit Singh and also attended by Mr. V. P. Agrawal, Chairman, Airport Authority of India.
Shri Nathwani said that an assurance was given to him by during the deliberations to initiate process of resolving issues of Ahmedabad airport.
