Seems mainland Gujarat is full of water today, thanks to rounds of showers since Saturday night.

The city of Ahmedabad is experiencing water logging problem in several areas. On 132 ft road, Akhabar nagar underpass has been closed for traffic due to watr logging. BRTS route has been diverted due to this. Similarly Naroda based Kuber nagar underpass has also been closed for traffic. Due to extra inflow in Sabarmati river, three gates of Vasna barrage are opened in two ft measurement.

Cities like Mehsana and Dahod too are experiencing water logging issue. Underpasses were closed for traffic in both cities.

About one lakh cusec water is being released from Kadana dam. With fresh rise in its level, Vishwamitri river has dressed a new look. Low lying areas are alerted.

To maintain a level around 333 ft as per the rule level, water is being released from south Gujarat’s Ukai dam. Surat’s causeway has been closed for the traffic due to overflowing water.
