Like every year, Gandhinagar based Swaminarayan Akshardham is celebrating the festival of Diwali with thousands of diyas(oil lamps).

During the period of Diwali and a Gujarati new year day, when thousands of diyas are kindled in Akshardham, it seems as if the stars have arrived on earth.

Visitors can enjoy this festival of lights from Diwali to Labh Panchamai during 6.00 to 7.45 pm.
