It’s official, no Congress candidate against Keshubhai Patel!

Ahmedabad, 26 November 2012
The Election Commission of India today rejected the nomination form of Congress candidate Ratilal Mangrolia for candidature on Visavdar assembly seat.
ECI also rejected nomination form of another Congress candidate Harshadbhai Ribadia.
This means there will be no Congress candidate against Keshubhai Patel, leader of Gujarat Parivartan Party in Visavdar.
This also concludes that Congress party is unable to field its candidates on desired number of seats and Congress-NCP alliance has failed to contest all 182 seats, which is a shocking fact for the party of national stature.
On the last date of nominations last week, the district Congress president claimed that one young unidentified boy snatched away party’s official mandate from his hand and fled.
Congress party’s official candidate Mangrolia therefore submitted his nomination form without Congress’s original mandate. He submitted a fax copy of party’s mandate, that too after prescribed time limit of 3.00 pm.
The ECI today rejected Mangrolia’s form quoting the rules.
BJP’s national President Purushottam Rupala has described this as a drama.
BJP workers are now openly saying that Keshubhai Patel and Congress’s behind-the-curtain alliance is now exposed.
