Gujarati humour artist to perform in Karachi, Pakistan’s Home Minister recommended his VISA

Gujarati stage humor artist Shri Jagdish Trivedi will present his show in Karachi, Pakistan on 27 January, a day after India’s republic day.

Surendranagar based Shri Trivedi has been invited by an organization called JIBA international. JIBA had organized a function in Ahmedabad recently in which Trivedi’s show was highly admired. JIBA is holding an international meet of businessmen in Karachi now. Trivedi has been invited to present a Hindi/Gujarati stage humor show in this meet. Trivedi has received seven days visa after recommendation by Pakistan’s Home Minister Mr. Rehman Malik.

After getting visa to visit Pakistan, Trivedi called Shri Morari Bapu from just outside the Pakistani high commission in Delhi. Morari Bapu gave blessings to Shri Trivedi and asked him to win love of the people in Pakistan. Shri Trivedi’s Guru Shahbuddin Rathod expressed feelings that he himself had two chances to go to Pakistan, but unfortunately he couldn’t go. Now when his disciple is going to Pakistan he is happy about it.

Speaking to DeshGujarat, Shri Trivedi said that he would leave for Pakistan on 24th and will be back on 28th. He said he would like to visit Kalupur Swaminarayan sect’s mandir in Karachi. He would also like to meet local Gujarati speaking brothers.

Shri Trivedi has received two doctorate degrees – one on the works of his maternal grand father late Shri Navalshankar Devshankar Mehta and another on the works of his Guru Shri Shahbuddin Rathod. He is planing to do third doctorate on the elements of social good in Morari Bapu’s speeches.

Shri Trivedi has presented his shows during his 37 foreign tours, however he says his Pakistan tour is special as he feels he is visiting a separated brother after long time. Trivedi has written 42 books and his 76 volumes of CD/DVD/VCDs are in market. He has translated Harivanshrai Bachchan’s Madhushala in Gujarati. He has been given several awards including the Phhulchhab award. His work has been placed in Gujarati textbook of standard seventh in Gujarat.
