Diesel price hike: Modhwadia meets union minister

Gujarat Congress President Arjun Modhwadia and Maharashtra Congress President Manikrao Thakre today met central Petroleum minister Virappa Moili and told him that fishermen are in problem due to difference in diesel prices available from cooperative pumps and other kinds of pumps. Modhwadia and Thakre demanded that fishermen should be given relief in diesel price hike. They also demanded that government run public transport system should be given relief in diesel price. According to a statement issued by the Gujarat Congress, Shri Moily heard both the leaders and promised them to do whatever necessary in regard to problem faced by fishermen, after consultation with oil companies.
