SC allows Zakia Jafri to appeal against SIT report

The Supreme Court today said Zakia Jafri was entitled to the report of Special Investigation Team (SIT). The SC, however, said that Jafri was not entitled to comments of SIT chief in the report on the Gulbarg Society riots case. The SC has given Zakia Jafri eight weeks to file her appeal after going through the SIT report. The SC had on January 17 stayed an order on the closure report of the SIT.
