Zakia Zaffrey files protest petition in court against SIT clean chit to Modi/others

Ahmedabad, 15 April 2013

Zakia Jaffery with the help of Teesta Setalvad’s organization has filed protest petition in Gujarat Court against clean chit given by Supreme Court appointed Special Investigation Team(SIT) to Chief Minister Narendra Modi and others in year 2002 Gulbarg riot case.

Zakia Jafri has filed two volumes of petition and 10 CDs. Court has decided that SIT will argue first from 24 April, said RS Jamwar, SIT lawyer.

Lawyer of Jafri said that Jafri is seeking re-investigation by a new independent agency, as she is not satisfied with the conclusions SIT arrived at. She said SIT has overlooked evidence submitted before it during the investigation.
