New ₹106-Crore Four-Lane Flyover Nearing Completion in Ahmedabad
May 10, 2026
Ahmedabad: Good news is on the horizon for commuters in Ahmedabad, as a new four-lane flyover connecting Vadaj to Ranip is nearing completion. The infrastructure project promises to bring significant relief to motorists battling the city’s daily traffic jams.
Built at a cost of more than ₹106 crore, the newly constructed flyover spans approximately 735 meters in length and 16 to 20 meters wide. The bridge has been specifically designed to alleviate traffic congestion and is currently on the verge of completion.
Once opened to the public, the flyover will drastically improve connectivity to the Gandhi Ashram area. Commuters traveling from the perpetually busy Ashram Road towards Vadaj Circle and the Ranip junction will experience a much smoother and faster journey.
One of the biggest advantages for daily drivers is that the new route will provide relief from waiting at three different traffic signals. This bypass is expected to result in a major reduction in traffic jams, particularly during peak commuting hours.
As the final stages of work wrap up, the citizens of Ahmedabad are set to receive the gift of this new flyover in the coming days, marking another step forward in strengthening the city’s transit infrastructure. DeshGujarat
