Gujarat:Moderate quake hits Saurashtra

A moderate intensity quake measuring 4.5 on Richter Scale shook parts of Saurashtra on Sunday. The tremor was felt around 5.00 pm and the epicenter of the tremor was located near Talala in Junagadh district, the Seismology department based in Delhi said. However, there were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to property. In southern and western parts of Saurashtra including Junagadh, Jamnagar, Jafrabad, Amreli, Jetpur, Bagasra, Talala, Vanthli, Gir forest and especially in multy storied buildings tremor was experienced well. Some houses received cracks. One person who jumped from his house due to panic following tremor was injured in Junagadh district’s Talala.
