Gujarat Govt puts Nanavati Commission Report online

After the Supreme Court refused to restrain the Gujarat government from circulating, publishing and acting on the Nanavati Commission report on the Godhra train carnage, Gujarat government’s Home department website has publishedfull text of first part of Nanavati commission report in PDF format.
The first part of report is introduced as ‘Into the facts, circumstances and all the course of events of the incidents that led to setting on fire some coaches of the Sabarmati Express Train on 27.2.2002 near Godhra Railway Station and the subsequent incidents of violence in the State in the aftermath of the Godhra incident.’ on it’s first page.
Total 176 pages(excluding annexture) report has four chapters:(1)Introduction,(2)Proceedings, (3) Points for consideration and (4) Evidence and Findings.
Report has three graphics that project views of Sabarmati Express, S-6 coach and Godhra railway station. Report has total 19 photographs of the place of incident. Report has photocopies of the front page 8 column headlines of Godhra incident from Gujarat Samachar, Sandesh, Times of India, Asian Age, Indian Express and Jayhind newspapers.
Some of the statements that were given by witnesses in Hindi are presented in Hindi script in the report. FIR of Godhra carnage is presented in original Gujarati language in which it was mentioned that 900 to 1000 Muslims had attacked S-6 coach of sabarmati express.
