Parsi community welcomes Ratan Tata’s Gujarat decision

Ahmedabad’s Parsi Panchayat has unanimously passed a resolution to falicitate Shree Ratan Tata for his decision to set up Nano plant in Gujarat.

After an MOU was signed between Gujarat and Tata Motors, Parsi Pancyat specially called an extra-ordinary meeting in which resolution to honor Shree Ratan Tata was made.

Parsi Panchayat’s trustee Navroz Sanga and Advocate K.J.Shethna said “Nano will contribute to the development of Gujarat. Gujarat would be greatly benefited by having more employment opportunities. Tatas and Gujarat have old relations.”

Meanwhile Parsis in Navsari which is the home town for Tata family were jubilant over Ratan Tata’s Gujarat decision. Parsis of Navsari distributed sweets and burst crackers to celebrate Ratan Tata’s Gujarat decision.

Navsari based prominent Parsi historian Kersibhai Debu said “Jamshedji Tata was born in Navsari. Gujarat was his birthplace.We the Parsis in Navsari wish that first Nano car should roll out from the old house of Shree Jamshedji Tata which is still standing strong in Navsari town.”
