Local city bus service in Gandhinagar soon

Gujarat’s capital town Gandhinagar will soon have it’s own local city bus service.
As of now the process to start the city bus service has reached to the stage of tendering.
36 different terms are decided for operators include minimum and maximum fair, amount of buses, duration of availability of buses on the stand, compulsory provision of CNG, responsibility of operators in situation of accident, 50% advertisement income contribution to the administration, free service for government employees and senior citizens, rental payment to the State Transport department for usage of bus-stands, concessions to the students, blinds-handicapped people and freedom fighters.
