New Delhi, DeshGujarat, 14 May, 2009
A day after 2009 Lok Sabha elections polling ended, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today once again said the NDA will form a government.
After arriving at Delhi airport in the morning, Narendra Modi talking to media persons waiting for him there said he is in Delhi to take part in the post-poll political activities and there is nothing to hide about it.
When asked about exit poll results, Modi said, “Why all exit poll results are different? You people(in media) have not one voice about the result, but I am saying from day one that the BJP would be a single largest party and NDA would get majority. I said this during the elections and even after elections, I have same thing to say today.”
At around 11am, Modi attended BJP’s top brass meeting at residence of BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Shri L K Advani. In the afternoon, Modi drove to Ex-BJP President Shri Murli Manohar Joshi’s place. Modi also met Ex-Vice President Shri Bhairon singh Shekhawat in the evening.
Meanwhile BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said Modi was in Delhi to rope in more allies.
