The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will name one of the corporation-run schools after Shahid Major Rushikesh Ramani.

Couple of days ago, Ahmedabad Mayor Kanaji Thakor and Asit Vora, chairman, AMC Standing Committee visited Ramani family and asked them to suggest which school they wish should be named after their brave son, who gave his life for the nation.

Meanwhile a candlelight walk, ‘Deep Jyoti Yatra’ has been organised on 18 June to commemorate Major Ramani’s sacrifice. The walk will begin at 6 pm from the Major’s residence in Vikram Park Society, Thakkarbapanagar, Ahmedabad.
