Dhirubhai Ambani institute student is latest H1N1 case in Gujarat

Sandeep Meena, a first year hostel resident student of Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology(DAIICT) in Gandhinagar is latest Swine flu positive case confirmed in Gujarat.
Sandeep was suffering from cold and fever for last several days. As his influenza test, done by local doctor was positive, he was transferred to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital yesterday as a suspected swine flu case. After tests at newly developed H1N1 laboratory at Ahmedabad Civil hospital, he was confirmed as 16th swine flu positive case in Gujarat.Sandip was brought to Ahmedabad later in the night and was admitted here in isolation ward G3.
Currently there are 1111 students in DAIICT, run by Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. The institute is now on alert to prevent further spread of swine flu and taking all precautions. Local health authority too has come in action. Masks are distributed to the students in the campus.
Total swine flu positive cases in Gujarat are 19 on Wednesday 12th August.
