Gujarat Forensic Science University inaugurated

Gujarat Forensic Science University was inaugurated today at IIM Ahmedabad campus. Chief Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat High Court Chief Justice Radhakrishnan, Gujarat Minister of state for Home, Amit Shah, Gujarat Police Chief Khandwawala, Dr JM Vyas, director general of Gujarat Directorate of Forensic Sciences (DFS) were present at this function.
M.S.Dahiya’s book: Crime Scene Management – A Scientific Approach was released at this function.
Set up at Gandhinagar, Gujarat Forensic Science University is first of its kind in the country.
The university building will come up on 20,000 sq metres of land allotted by the government near the existing FSL premises in the State Capital.
Three new courses in the university are; Forensic nanotechnology, Investigative psychology and Forensic nursing.
Total 500 students applied for 103 seats in maiden year of the university.
