Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi visited Jharkhand on Monday for BJP election campaign.
He addressed three election rallies.
As naxals had declared strike call in Jharkhand, extra security provisions were implied for Modi’s security.
The Jharkhand state elections will be concluding on December 18.
Addressing a poll meeting in support of BJP candidate in Bokaro, Modi called upon the media to ‘decode the wires’ and expose the wire of corruption that according to him links with the Centre.
“Jharkhand is very rich in resources. But corrupt leaders have left it in tatters with the state witnessing six governments in just nine years,” he said.
Modi said Gujarat imports coal from Jharkhand and provides electricity to the people round the year. “But it is unfortunate that Jharkhand is under darkness,” Modi said.
“The people in the country are hit by price rise, but it is not an issue for the Congress,” alleged Modi.
Bokaro goes to polls in the third phase on December 8.
