Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is so excited about Mandatory voting in local body elections bill that soon after the bill was moved, he called each and every TV news channel and gave one-to-one interview. Modi uses media well. When journalists try to discover Modi during Asaram issue or Fanaa issue, or Patan gang rape issue, or many other such issues, Modi doesn’t appear at all on camera. But Modi some time calls media persons for one-to-one interview when there are subjects that he wants to connect with to make his national image as radical and progressive leader(that he is) may be to create ground for his national debut in next Lok Sabha election or before that. This is very good news. Complsory voting needed all over India We are thankful to Hon.Modiji,who came first in this important issue for public.Voting is very neccessery and voting is making govt. if peoples of any were voting hevely that govt.became strong.Congress party never hapy because his party has voting bank and thus he don’t care about complsory voting.

Well done.Rather focusing on why CM didnt give answers on particular issues , we should concentrate on what is good for the growth of gujarat and for our country. I suggest that he should set some rule for media too. Instead of making issues and milking money from any situation, media should understand their role . Moreover It is media’s responsibility to educate people about the domestic and national affairs and not to misguide them.
On the issue of selectively deciding when to appear in front of the TV news channel, Modi is on a right track of creating a controlled PR exercise…
In fact after looking at the negativity the news channel keeps on dishing out at BJP, BJP should think of hiring a PR firm to help improve its image in the masses and build a strong Brand Value.
Today a lot rides on how a political party is portrayed by the news channel. These channels are airing news 24×7 and they are a powerful medium which is capable of making or breaking anyone’s career. People watch these channels and they build a image of political parties and their leaders, so if BJP ropes in a powerful PR agency to lobby positive things about its party policies and leaders, it will definitely make an impact on how common men look at these parties.
We don’t have to go far to understand the role of MEDIA in politics, looking back at the last US elections, look how intelligently Obama and his campaigning team used various forms of Media (including Print, TV, Internet, Radio etc) to create a positive wave in favor of Obama…..
Its about time that Indian politics looks at 21st century tools for campaigning and creating a brand value.
There should be a special Media Liaison Officer within BJP whose primary work is to deal with the chosen PR agency to advertise about the positives of BJP philosophy.
Right step in right direction, but like I mentioned above, a lot needs to be done by BJP to stop the negative rhetoric the News channel is involved into against BJP.

Way to go… Only Mr.Modi can make such decesions despite of having heavy majority since long. It will be interesting to see how this law going to be implemented.
Before making voting mandatory, make sure the voter registration infrastructure is in place. Make it compulsory for government officials to track each and every file in a timebound manner for resolution of voting registration problems.
How are the Government supervisors going to ensure there are not going to be bogus voter registration?
How can illegal immigrants be prevented from getting a voter registration?
Make the check-up system mandatory, otherwise people are going to escape the voting by not registering to vote.

All he has done since being in power is only one thing-Marketing..!!! He could never take an intelligent interviewer like Karan Thaper for more than 3-4 mins.. and on other interviews like this one, he just keeps talking about his agendas for election or party. nevertheless, supporters of Modi are blind enough to believe all what he says..!

Please share the link for same in Narendramodi.in or any other way where i can know how people currently not in Gujarat can vote ?
Many well wishers of Gujarat are not always physically present in Gujarat. There are many Gujarati people in other indian states and abroad, who are NRIs and want to vote for election.
I hope that there is provision for them to vote online or some other way to cast their vote. I think is there is provision to vote for election even if you are not physically present in Gujarat.

@India… People will not believe if person is doing only marketing and no work. If people are fan of Mr.Modi, that is due to his work for the state. Other hand I have not seen any work done by Rahul Gandhi. I called his acts are only marketing, no work.
But, if you think Mr.Modi has done same as Rahul Gandhi, nothing wrong in that. Always appreciate good things from opponents also.
Talking about Karan Thapar. Intelligent journalist, hm! Have you observed channel he is working for has impression of anti-Hindu and anti-Hinduism agenda? Have you noticed Karan Thapar behaving same rude with other personalities as he does with Mr. Modi?

ગુજરાતમાં ફરજિયાત મતદાન મતદાન લોકતંત્ર ઉપર તરાપ છે. મતદાન ક્યારેય ફરજિયાત ન હોવું જોઈયે , જો સરકાર ખરેખર લોકોને મત આપવા આકર્ષવા માગતી હોય તો વિવિધ યોજના અમલમાં મુકવી જોઈયે કે જેથી લોકો મત આપવા માટે સામેથી આગળ આવે દા.ત જો કોઈ પરિવારના તમામ સભ્યો (રેશનકાર્ડમાં સમાવીષ્ટ) એ મતદાન કર્યું હોય તો ઈન્કમ ટેક્ષ માંથી તેઓને ૧ કે ૨ ટકા (સરકારને જે યોગ્ય લાગે…તે…) રાહત આપવી જોઈયે તેવીજ રીતે જો કોઈ ઇન્કમ ટેક્ષ ન ભરતો હોય તો તેઓ ને પણ કોઈ સરકારી લાભ આપવો જોઈયે …આ તો માત્ર દાખલો છે જો સરકારધારે તો આવી કેટલીય યોજના મુકી શકાય છે કે જેથી ગરીબ અને ધનવાન તમામ વર્ગ મતદાન કરવા ઉત્સાહિત થશે…
