“No question, but autograph please Mr. Modi”

Modi’s interaction session was more like an Autograph and photograph session.

Such session was held 16 times with different groups. But in only this session, Modi could actually seat and talked with the students. While interacting with other groups, the agendas of autograph and photograph overpowered the real discussion.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today hosted High-tea session with child-scientists of different states ranging from Andaman Nikobar in south to Jammu & Kashmir in north who are participating in 17th Indian National Children Science Congress in Ahmedabad.

Modi spent two full hours to chat with the child scientists. The event was held at AUDA garden inside the Science City campus in Ahmedabad.

The child scientists were divided in 16 groups. Modi went to each group and had photo session. Children seemed more interested in asking for autograph of the Chief Minister rather than asking him questions.

A Bihar student asked the CM why Copenhagen conference failed. Andhra child asked what is the secret of Modi’s success? Many students asked Modi questions about terrorism. When one students asked Modi about his government’s achievement in the field of Science education in the state, Modi replied that the government identified 30 talukas where there was no science school and started the science schools there. The government also ordered to organize annual science fairs in these talukas.

Speaking at inauguration function of the Science Congress on Sunday, Modi had said, “You might have heard about high-tea hosted by Chief Minister for VIPs and VVIPs, but I have decided to host high tea with child scientists. I want them to ask the questions. Also I want to know where they are heading towards. What are their thoughts and aspirations.”
