Congress MLA of Porbandar and ex-leader of opposition in Gujarat assembly Shri Arjun Modhwadia on Tuesday made a serious allegation that the minister of state for Home shri Amit Shah took Rs 2.5 crore bribe from Madhupur bank scandal accused Ketan Parekh to keep him out of jail.

Modhwadia has made this allegation on the bases of CID report.

“Amit Shah met Ketan Parekh and Ketan Parekh gave him Rs 2.5 crore after which Amit Shah as a Director of Madhavpura Bank took back the Special Leave Petition,” alleged Modhwadia.

“CID Crime(Gujarat)has handed over a report to Chief Secretary stating that Shri Amit Shah is a Minister of State for Home and therefore for sack of justice this note should be sent to CBI and involvement of Chief Minister should also be investigated in this case,” added Modhwadia.

“Amit Shah, Ketan Parekh and Girish Dani were in contact of each other on phone. When Ketan Parekh came to Ahmedabad, the minister of state for Home Shri Amit Shah met him at Girish Dani’s residence. Amit Shah should be dropped out from the ministry with immediate effect,” Modhwadia further added.

Modhwadia also questioned the role of leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha and BJP big-wig Arun Jaitley as a lawyer of Ketan Parekh.

Meanwhile state government spokesperson Jay Narayan Vyas said the allegations made by Congress are baseless. The Congress wants to attract peoples attraction and such allegations without any proof will not give any mileage to Congress.
