4 new pavilions in Ahmedabad Science City,GSWAN-2 announced

Guajrat Fiance Minister Shri Vajubhai Vala today in his Budget speech 2010-11 announced Rs 38.43 crore allocation for the second stage of Gujarat State Wide Area Network(GSWAN) in the state. Vala also announced Rs 32 crore allocation for setting up four new Science pavilions in Ahmedabad’s Science City.
While Rs 21.68 crore are allocated to Gujarat Seismological Research Institute for research activities and purchase of new instruments, the sum of Rs 34.15 crore is allocated to strengthen Gujarat Biotechnology Mission and Biotechnology Venture Fund in the state.
According to budget draft of Science and Technology department, four new Science museums would be developed through Public Private Partnership mode at Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Bhuj. Rs 22 crore are approved for this cause.
