New 700 courts proposed in Gujarat, each taluka to have a court

Guajrat Fiance Minister Shri Vajubhai Vala today in his Budget speech 2010-11 announced formation of 700 new courts in state this year.
Vala announced 12 new courts to deal with cheque return cases, 15 new family courts, 7 new courts for anti-corruption cases, 6 courts to deal with atrocity cases and 25 new courts for Electricity department’s cases.
Vala said, “Gujarat’s 45 talukas would get new tauka level courts. This would make Gujarat a state where every taluka would have a court.”
Vala also announced that Assistant Public Prosecutors 375 posts will be filled up this year.
Meanwhile according to budget draft for Law and Justice department, the Gujarat Highcourt judges will get blackberry phones(Rs 14,70000) and new cars(Rs 3,36,00000).
