State Education minister Ramanbhai Vora’s effigy was burnt in fire, but where? Guess where?
Well, in Vadnagar, a native place of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
And they were not bunch of congress workers, who burnt education minister’s effigy, but the real people, the young students frustrated with government’s approach towards their demands did this.
The venue was Vadnagar’s Engineering college where first year passing result is shockingly low, just 2.7%
For total 266 engineering students studying here, there are just two regular professors! Lot’s of academic work is handled by visiting faculties, who are not that regular and sincere. The college needs at least nine professors. However the state administration approved only three professors initially. Even from these three, one was later shifted to other college. The students and locals have repetedly demanded proper appointment of staff and also facilities of necessary instruments. The administration however replies that suitable professors with masters degree are not available for Vadnagar engineering college even after government’s several efforts.
The college has 66 Civil engineering students, 66 Mechanical Eng students, 64 Computer eng students and 66 Electronics and Communication students. The college is to be shifted at newer place nearby in near future.
