19 new rural crorepatis in a day in Gujarat, thanks to govt(photo story)

They are new crorepatis of Gujarat. But they are not from Ahemdabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot etc. major cities.

They are from very small village ‘Bol’ located on the backside of Ahemdabad-Sanand-Viramgam highway. And they are made crorepati by none other but the Government of Guajarat as they readily transferred their land near Tata Motors Nano car plant to Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC) for future industrial development of this area.

In photographs above, a brown turben person in photo Vanabhai Kanabhai is receiving a cheque of One crore twenty seven lakh seventy six thousand six Rs. Another person in white turben Hajabhai Bharwad standing next to him has two cheques in his hand. One of the cheques is worth Rs Two crore sixty two lakh seventy seven thousand nine.

The cheques were given to these and other villagers by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC)for their land on Monday. As many as 19 rural land owners were given cheques worth Rs 45.62 crore in total. And this is just 90% of the total payment. The villagers will be given more 10% later on.

The villagers of Bol have agreed with GIDC and fixed Rs 1200 per square meter price for their land. GIDC intends to acquire 750 hectare land for industrial purpose.

According to GIDC’s Prashant Bhatt, the farmers will be given cheques per week as and when they show readiness to transfer their land. Government of Gujarat has added its presence to farmers accounts in a way that none of the farmers can sell his land to anyone else legaly. One has to sell his land to government only.

village leaders said that the villagers will bout 60% new agricultural land nearby. Moreover, they will buy new houses in Sanand. According to local MLA Kamabhai Rathod, the villagers who sold their land will be allowed to stay in their land for as long as two years. By that time, they will buy new land and settle down.

APMC Chairman Jitubha Vaghela, Cotton cell Chairman Bhikhubhai Barad, GIDC General Manager Sharad Parikh, local MLA Kamabhai Rathod and others were present in this function.
