Monsoon halt ends, heavy rain in Surat, Valsad

Parts of Gujarat, on Wednesday, again witnessed showers, after some halt in ongoing monsoon.
There was heavy rain witnessed in southern Gujarat. Heavy rain was experienced in Surat where 6 inch rain was witnessed in just two hours time that caused water logging in parts of the city. Valsad also experienced heavy rain.
In Saurashtra, Visavdar, Gondal experienced rain fall on Wednesday morning. Due to heavy rain in upstream area, eight villages of Keshod belt were alerted. Due to opening of Machhu – 2 dam gates, one container truck submerged in water, however driver and cleaner were rescued safely.
