According to reports from Diu, President Pratibha Patil has cut short her seven day Diu visit by four days. It is now believed that Mrs. Patil will return from Diu on 3 January instead of 7 January.

On Saturday, the President and her family conducted puja at Diu’s Gangeshwar Mandir for three hours between 10 am and 1 pm.

On Sunday the President will visit Diu’s famous Nagva beach for sight scene. A cultural programme will be presented for the President in the evening at hotel. It should be mentioned that both events – her visit to beach and cultural programme were earlier organized on 4 January, but they are now rescheduled on 2nd January. It is believed that this rescheduling has taken place due to the fact that the President has cut the size of her 7 days tour.
