MS University alumni to make film on Vir Hamirsinhji Gohil

MS University performing arts faculty alumni Maulik Pathak will produce a film on Vir Hamirsinh Gohil, martyred of medieval era Gujarat who attempted to rescue Somnath mandir from the attack of invaders.
Pathak’s film is based on MS University’s Gujarati department lecturer Dipak Vyas’s research on history of Somnath mandir.
Proposed film has been named as ‘Vir Hamirji – Somnath Sakhate’. The film will have full length song ‘Kasumbi no rang’ for the first time. Till now this song has been sung and presented in curtailed format.
Ram kathakar Shri Morari Bapu today watched promos of this Gujarati film in Somnath where his Ramkatha is going on.
