After two years in Chinese jail, 12 Gujaratis are back

After spending two years in Chinese prison, 12 Gujarati diamond merchants are coming back to their motherland tonight at 12.10 am. They will land at Mumbai airport at 12.10 am in Jet Airways flight no 0067. On Thursday, China immigration department had called their relatives to Shenzhen.
Two years back on 8 January, 2010, Custom officials in Shenzhen had arrested 22 Gujarati diamond merchants accusing them of smuggling of diamonds and tax evasion. After they stayed in prison for one year and eleven months, the Shenzhen peoples court delivered verdict on 7 December to free 13 diamond traders. However nine traders are still in prison.
