-Vice President Shri Hamid Ansari leaves for Delhi from Rajkot airport. On second day of his Gir forest tour he was accompanied by minister Jaynarayan Vyas, Mangubhai Patel, IAS Shri Nanda among others. On second day Shri Ansari visited Kamleshwar dam and other sites inside the forest.
-Mount Abu is minus five, and Gujarat is clearly impacted. With 10-12 km per hour winds, the chilling effect is being felt all over the state.
-Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today addressed Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention. Modi said current model of development is based on exploitation and suggested emulation of his state’s model where people have been made “equal partners” in the process to achieve inclusive growth. Modi explained how his state became a power surplus state in a span of just few years. Modi’s speech was welcomed with applause by the delegated from 60 countries.
-Gujarat minister of state for Fisheries Shri Purushottam Solanki has been admitted to hospital in Gandhinagar on Monday afternoon. Shri Solanki was unwell for last two days. Today afternoon when his blood pressure problem started worsening, he was taken from ministerial enclave in 108 ambulance to the civil hospital in Gandhinagar. According to doctors treating him, he would be tested for several parameters. Solanki could be taken to Amdavad’s Sterling hospital for further treatment according to sources.
-CBI summons former Gujarat minister Amit Shah for questioning in Tulsi Prajapati murder case.Amit Shah asks CBI that he will appear tomorrow. CBI accepts his request.
-Zakia Jafri seeks Supreme Court to direct the SIT to forward a final report, along with the entire material collected by it, to the Ahmedabad court within 30 days.
-Gujarat Tourism’s International Kite Festival has reached Surat today with 27 international kitists from 13 countries.
-Mundra Port company has been renamed now as Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd.
-A committee has been formed for Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar Metro train

-Gujarat Technological University has organized a lecture on Swami Vivekananda on 13th of January on the occassion of Swamiji’s 150th birth anniversary on 12 January.
-Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will sit on one-day long Sadbhavana fast in north Gujarat’s Mehsana on Tuesday.
