Erica Wilson is known as America’s First Lady of stitchery. She has given seventeen books and two television series seen on PBS in the US and on the BBC in England and Australia.

She has made her shop in Nantucket, a Mecca for needlework enthusiasts.

Erica Wilson in this video masterfully demonstrates the complex stitches required including double chain stitch and what she calls oriental or braided stitch.

It should be mentioned that the Gujarat Tourism is going to promote Kutchi embroidery in big way in coming time. Shri Amitabh Bachchan, brand ambassador of Gujarat Tourism has done a TV advertisement promoting Gujarat’s handicraft in Kutch recently.
