Ahmedabad Railway Division earnings up by 19.16%

The total earnings of Ahmedabad division of Western Railway during financial year of 2011-12 was Rs 3819.19 crore registering an increase of 19.16% in comparison to Rs crore achieved during the same period last year, and 6.18% more than the targeted earning.
Giving information on this, Shri Rakesh Behal(in photo), Divisional Railway Manager Ahmedabad said the division earned revenues to the tune of Rs 528.7 crore from the passengers which is 9.89% more than previous financial year. The division recorded Rs 52.83 crore coaching revenue, 2.96% higher than earnings during the same period last year.
The division recorded Rs 3238.29 crore revenue from goods which was 21.14% more than the revenue earned in previous year and 10.84% more than the targeted income.
