Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will today preside the function of Patidar community in Surat to honor Shri Mansukhbhai Mandavia, a young newly elected Rajya Sabha MP of BJP.

On face value, the function is about felicitation of Shri Mansukhbhai Mandavia, but it is not secret anymore that actually the function is about mobilization of Patel power and Surat based Saurashtra community in favor of the BJP and Modi, ahead of the assembly election this year.

A group of Keshubhai Patel, Pravin Togadia and Gordhan Zadafia loyalists is trying their best for last few days to ensure that the function don’t get good response. They have published leaflets against the function asking Patidar community members not to attend the function. They are continuously targeting Sri Mathurbhai Sawani of Sauashtra Jaldhara Trust for playing a key role in organizing this function.

The function is being organized under the title of Shri Mansukhbhai Mandavia Sanman Samiti, Surat.

The function will be closely watched by all major political players of the state.
