Vadodara, 18 April 2012
There’s a law that no shop within 100 meters of a school or college campus can sell tobacco. However hardly we find implementation of such law in any city.
However police in Vadodara today initiated drive and arrested 30 persons involved in selling gutkha and tobacco products in radius of 15 school and college campuses.
Lock-up of Karelibaug police station was full of pan-galla owners today afternoon following the drive.
Now we can just imagine, if in one police station area there are 30 persons active in selling tobacco and gutkha products to students, what could be the number of law-breakers in entire city, and entire state?
