Police arrest ten in Rajkot for not carrying identity card

Ten persons were arrested on Sunday in Rajkot for violation of city police commissioner’s notification which makes it mandatory for any citizen to carry his/her identity card while in public.
Five of those arrested were on a visit to garden without carrying identity card.
It should be mentioned be mentioned that city police has made it compulsory for any citizen to carry his/her identity card when in public. Last week local Congress had met the Police Commissioner demanding that ladies and students should be exempted from such rule.
