Tharad, 29 April 2012
Speaking in the last public meeting of Gujarat BJP’s Kisan heet yatra at Tharad in north Gujarat, Shri Parshottam Rupala, Vice President of BJP said that Congress men are sitting over cotton stock like snakes in ambush position. Rupala asked farmers not to allow such snakes to enter in their area.
Rupala accused Congress of having fixing with owners of cotton mills in southern India. He said this was only the reason why the centre imposed sudden ban on cotton export.
“Farmers of this country will never forgive Congress, the party that doubled the prices of fertilizers, taking away money from pockets of farmers,” Rupala said adding that the ban on cotton export has resulted into loss of Rs 10,000 crore for farmers in Gujarat.
