Keshubhai comes out openly against state govt, criticizes the state govt heavily, asks people for change (Video)

Ahmedabad, 12 May 2012

Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Keshubhai Patel has come out openly against functioning of present state government.

In an event of Rohit samaj in Ahmedabad’s Town hall today, Keshubhai criticized the state government on number of issues openly and asked those present in the hall not to fear and move ahead to change the state regime.

Keshubhai said, all communities in Gujarat are living under fear.

He criticized the state government mainly on “worsening” law and order situation and gave examples of crime events he read in the newspapers in recent past.

Keshubhai openly favored anti-Modi IPS Kuldeep Sharma without naming him and criticized the state regime for transferring such “able” police officer in sheep and wool development corporation. He expressed pleasure that Anand court has made Sharma free of charges.

Keshubhai criticized the state government for diverting hundreds of state transport buses to bring people to government functions. He said if the state government can win the hearts of the people, they would not need diversion of buses. Keshubhai spoke about a long queue of buses he saw few days back when he was on way to Somnath, and questioned such practice of state govt.

Keshubhai, without naming Modi compared him with tall tree of ‘Khajur’, that bears fruit at unassailable height and doesn’t provide shade for relief. Keshubhai then compared the tree of Khajur with the tree of Mango which bends when there’s time to offer Mangoes.

Keshubhai recollected how in his regime he used to give wheat and rice for Rs 2 per Kg and how nowadays people find bugs in flour.

Keshubhai was sitting with MahaGujara Janata Party Chief Gordhan Zadafia on the stage. Media was informed in advance about Keshubhai’s possible anti-govt statements, therefore there was a big presence of media teams in the hall.

The event was organized by Gujarat Rohit Samaj whose chief is party bearer of Zadafia’s MahaGujarat Janata Party.

Both Zadafia and Keshubhai are in good terms as they both belong to Leuva Patel community.

In the event, an announcer also spoke about possibility of Keshubhai’s elevation in future to state’s supreme post.

More details and video will be uploaded in this post soon.

Near perfect verbatim of major part of Keshubhai’s speech

I use to attend Patidar community functions and I advise them correctly. Some people feel shaken when I say, one should not fear. I advise them stay away from fear. And these days on TV, this line ‘Dar ke aage vijay hai’ comes frequently. If we want victory, we need to remove fear. And I am happy that you didn’t fear while inviting me to your function.

In whatever manner you cover the truth, it will not stay covered. Curtain covering the truth will open one day. Vijay means success, we don’t want to win in the cricket ground, we don’t want victory in war, we want victory because (political) power is like a sword. Such sword came in my hand and I couldn’t sleep in the night……Power is a tool for freedom from problems. I use to say that Patidar community lives under fear, but for last four days from whatever I read in the newspapers, the version coming out is that the entire state is living under fear. Earlier decoits used to strike in trains, but nowadays in Ahmedabad they strike in shuttle rickshaws. They snatch away ornaments of women. Today one old woman lost her gold bangles. She was beaten over her eyes. Where are you safe, in rickshaw? Bus? Train? At your home? In school? No.

Today they use power not for action but for propaganda.

Four days back I was going to Somnath, and I saw there were long queues of buses at four different places. I asked why such empty buses are kept like this? People told me that tomorrow at some place there’s a government function, and these buses – according to a report in newpaper – 600 buses were kept to bring people to that function. They canceled regular trips and diverted the buses to govt function. How many people would face problem due to this? Those who want to go to hospital, some students
who would like to go to schools etc. If you win their hearts, you will not need to hire buses to bring them to your rally.

There are thugs in the streets similar to what famous author Harkishan Mehta had defined in his novel. And then there are mahaathugs who harbor and protect such thugs. The people of Gujarat are living under fear due to this. I want to tell policemen, that people have them so much. We gave good police chowkies and furniture at number of places, but today
the newspaper tells that eight shops were burgled in one night, then another story is about four and half lakh loot at other place, and then another news item says that a triple murder convict escaped from police custody. So why we constructed police chowkies? They are for what? Police need to catch the thugs who create fear.

These days policemen catch small people to cool down the anger of people, and such unreal accused are then freed by court. Police need to utilized the buildings they are given properly, otherwise we will come and take the bricks back. People want results not just talks.

I would ask the people of Gujarat, that not only Patidars, but all people of Gujarat are living under fear. One officer who doesn’t follow the order of regime but works as per the rule, he is kicked out. A higher officer was transferred to Anand court made him free. I have a big list of fears.
