-Four bar girls of Mumbai, and two others including operator Hasmukh Shah ( Rang Upvan society, Naranpura) and his driver Vinod were held by Vastrapur police near Thaltej in Ahmedabad for operating sex racket. Each girl was brought to Ahmedabad for 17 days in exchange of Rs 30,000. The girls were kept in rented bungalow of Greenwoods near Vaishnavdevi circle of SG highway. Police nabbed these six persons when they were sitting in a Maruti Van on SG Highway for customers.

-Ministry of Railways has decided to run a Weekly Express Garib Rath special train between Yeshwantpur and Jaipur to clear extra rush. Train no 06511 Yeshvantpur-Jaipur Weekly Garib Rath Express will depart from Yeshvantpur at 05.20 hrs on every Sunday from 20/05/2012 to 10/06/2012 and will arrive at Jaipur at 04.05 hrs on Tuesday. In its return journey, Train No. 06512 Jaipur-Yeshvantpur Weekly Garib Rath Express will leave Jaipur at 15.30 hrs on every Tuesday from 22/05/2012 to 12/06/2012 and will reach Yeshvantpur at 15.10 hrs on Thursday.
It consists of AC 3-tier coaches.It will halt at Tumkur, Arasikere, Biru, Davangere, Haveri, Hubli, Gadag, Bagalkot,Bijapur, Solapur, Pune, Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad,Ahmedabad, Sabarmati, Mehshana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Falna, Ajmer and Kishangarh station in both the directions.
-42 Indian workers today returned to India. Four of them are from Gujarat. One of the workers landed at Vadodara airport and told the media persons that there are still many Gujarati workers facing difficulty in Angola, and they want to return.
-Jamnagar MLA and state minister Vasuben Trivedi today in her speech said, no one is living under fear in Gujarat. She said Gujarat is free from curfew in last ten years.

-Gopi dining hall owners Raju Thakkar, Dilip Thakkar were sent on seven days remand by Ahmedabad Metropolitan Court in Rs 1.35 crore cheating case related to Balaram palace property.
-(Video above)Leftist NGO operator Mukul Sinha led Jan Sangharsh Manch today filed plea in Ahmedabad Metropolitan court objecting Zakia Jafri’s last application seeking more SIT documents. Jan Sangharsh Manch(JSM)’s lawyer Shamshad Pathan said, that JSM had filed application on 17-6-2009 in SIT in connection with further investigation in Naroda Patiya case. The documents related to this application are sought by Zakia Jafri. We have asked the court that the special designated court had ordered in past that till the time final report on JSM application is submitted by the SIT, our documents can not be produced at ay place, and can not be given to anybody. The court has issued notice to SIT and Zakiaben. Further hearing will be held on 25th.
-On Friday, when rickshaws were on strike in Ahmedabad, the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) Janmarg in Ahmedabad with its fleet of 112 buses including 11 AC buses witnessed 1,71,000 passengers on its 45 km route.With extra 50,000 passengers on Friday, compare to average normal day, the figure of revenue touched at Rs 12.80 lakh. In the history of BRTS, Ahmedabad, this was the day when highest passengers ever were witnessed.
-Two persons were held from Ahmedabad airport air cargo by Ahmedabad police crime branch for theft worth Rs 13 lakh.
-Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) serves notice to 13 doctors of Visnagar for violation of disposal of biomedical waste rules.
