BJP crushes Congress in Bar Council of Gujarat election

Gujarat BJP literally bulldozed opponent Congress in Gujarat Bar Council election once again. After 9-day long counting of votes BJP’s Samras panel has been victorious with clear majority. Out of 25 winner candidates declared, 17 including former MP Vijay Patel were from BJP.Five victorious candidates were from Congress while two were independents.
Election convener and Congress leader BM Mangukia lost the election as did VH Kanara, Jount convener of the Congress’ legal cell. Leader of Mehsana Congress, Manuji Thakor, Bharuch district Congress president Kiran Rathod also were defeated.
On the other hand former MP and recently elected head of the Gujarat High Court Advocate Association’s Shri Vijay H Patel, Rajkot BJP legal cell’s DK Patel have secured victory with landslide votes.
The leader of opposition Shaktisinh Gohil was reportedly supervising the affairs of Bar council polls for his party, but it seems his efforts have yielded no result.
The election of Bar Council of Gujarat was held on May 11.
