Bloggers continue to expose mainstream media over reporting on Modi

Ahmedabad, 4 June 2012
The terminology ‘MSM’ is used for ‘main stream media’ in online world. There’s a steady war going on between MSM and SM(social media) on Twitter, Facebook and blogs.
Offstumped in its one of the latest blog posts has again exposed the MSM.
The blog post titled as ‘False and distorted reporting on Panchajanya Opinion Column on Narendra Modi’ points out that alleged anti-Modi remarks in RSS magazine Panchjanya were not actually the remarks made by the magazine itself, but were part of the column of Mr. Devendra Swarup. Offstumped goes deep into the piece of Devendra Swarup and how MSM projected it. Here is the link of Offstumped’s blog post.
In another example Hyderabad based blogger S.Sudhirkumar exposes media over its reporting on Modi’s meeting with Vajpayee. The background of the story is interesting. When Modi was in Delhi last week and declared on Twitter that he would go to meet Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Delhi based media started publishing stories on ‘rift in BJP’ because Modi would meet Atalji, but would not meet Advaniji. The stories on this line continued till the evening. But what happened then after? Soon after meeting Shri Vajpayee, Shri Modi went to meet Shri Advaniji and later tweeted that he met both Atalji and Advaniji. So the media now came out with a new version of story. S.Sudhirkumar has captured the sequence in his blog. Here is the link of S.Sudhirkumar’s blog post.

All Medias are very kachada…
They are only showing, want they want…
It is sad that very few people visit and believe bloggers website, social media etc. However, people have no problem in believing what was shown on MSM. I stopped looking at MSM long time ago. There is one exception, Zee News, it is not that much bad. Also, Zee News covers entire day in half hour and there are no breaking news, no suspense, no eye popping graphics. suspense.
