You read and watched how the main stream media(MSM) covered the press briefing of three union ministers in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on Wednesday.

But more free (and many times more fair) ‘social media’ reacts differently to the briefing of union ministers.

Here are two blog posts picked from the web.

Mediacrooks titles the blog post as ‘Three Idiots In Ahmedabad.’

Blogger Ravinar at Mediacrooks observes, “They came too soon! Elections are still some months away. And then talk about bad luck and bad timing. On a day when some of the national media too landed up in Ahmedabad the main story on all news channels was that of the Presidential election circus. “

On Salman Khurshid’s comment that Vacation bench of Supreme Court tends to be little conservative, Ravinar in Mediacrooks comments, “Oh okay, so vacation benches are conservative. I wonder what regular benches of SC would be like – Fascists or Secularists? So now you know when to go to the SC and what kind of bench for the verdict you want.”

Sandeep in his blog post observes: Throughout the press conference, none in the Triumvirate even once, even by error uttered a single word attacking Narendra Modi. The reason is straightforward: the Congress party hasn’t forgotten how badly its supreme leader was singed in the 2007 polls thanks to her “maut ka saudagar” slogan. It hasn’t also forgotten the kind of treatment Rahul Gandhi received in Darbhanga in faraway Bihar for making an anti-Gujarat statement.

Sandeep concludes his blog post this way:The truth is that the Congress party from its supreme leader till the tiniest foot soldier has no clue let alone a poll strategy to win Gujarat. Old formulas like character assassination, sowing caste and communal divisions, buying votes and similar vile schemes have failed to work. Gujaratis have long ago closed their ears to the riots story. And the Congress party cannot promise clean governance because it has no experience in the field. Thus its attacks on Modi have come to depend only upon fanning the fury of the perceived malcontents within the BJP. Five years ago, the Congress party was armed with at least the Riots Arsenal. Today, it’s completely bankrupt. And it’s self-destructing at the Centre.
